The Governor's project "Novgorod Summer" will welcome citizens and guests with new events on the main square

Tomorrow, June 1, summer in Veliky Novgorod will be marked by a series of events of the governor's project, beloved by many. The festival "Novgorod Summer-2025" will start on Pobedy-Sofia Square. Concerts, master classes, educational lectures and more will await city residents and guests every weekend.

The main sites will also once again be Yaroslav's Court, the Kremlin Park, and the Alexander Nevsky Embankment.

"Our goal is not only to make the city more attractive to tourists, but also to create conditions for the development of the creative potential of residents, especially young people. We want everyone to find something interesting for themselves: be it art, culture, music or gastronomy. I am sure that "Novgorod Summer" will become not just a festival, but a real holiday that will unite people and give them the opportunity to discover new facets of our beautiful region," said acting Governor of the Novgorod Region Alexander DRONOV, commenting on the beginning of the fourth festival.

The festival will delight with a rich program throughout June: "New Movement" will discover new names in cinematography, and the cartoon concert from "Soyuzmultfilm" will be appreciated by viewers of all ages. Gastronomy lovers will enjoy the ethno-gastronomic festival "Grapes" .

The celebration of Russia Day as part of the Novgorod Summer program will be supplemented by a creative industries fair and the Fashion Russian fashion festival. In addition, the book festival Chronicle of Novgorod Summer is planned. The IX International Festival of Musical Antiquities Slovisha also fits into the summer days of June, during which a conference on gusli, a festival of Russian jaw harp , lectures by ethnomusicologists, master classes and concerts with the participation of representatives from 25 regions of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and India will take place.

In July, Novgorodians and tourists will be able to become part of no less interesting and spectacular events. The summer marathon will end with the celebration of the City Day and the ceremonial closing of the project on August 31 at Pobedy-Sofia Square.
